We always Stay at The Bushlands Caravan Park. We Start the tours from the Gold and Fleece Hotel Windeyer, which is right out the front of the caravan park. So it is very very handy. The Pub Has meals Fri, Sat Night and of course Beer.
Book Directly with the Caravan Park, Cabins a 2 bedroom house, the train carriage and Powered/Unpowered Camping available too.

For Gold Experience Days/Weekends and Pulse Boot Camps at Sofala

We Base at Sofala Showground and unpowered camping is available with access to the amenities block for a donation of $12 per person per night.
In Fact if you like you can stay there for a few days either side of the experience.
Payment is Cash Only Paid on Arrival. We collect and Pass on to Sofala Show Society.
NOTE: Meal Options are getting Better in Sofala, The CAFE is open and the General Store make some of the most amazing salad sandwiches in the world. They also have some provisions like meat, Milk, Bread and grocery items.

Bathurst is about 40 Mins away and the accommodation options are very varied. We allow you time to Drive in and out of town in the DAYLIGHT on our experience days to avoid meeting wildlife on the road as much as possible.
Also so you can enjoy the Beautiful drive out to Sofala from Bathurst.
Check your Fav Booking site or Book direct with your Fav place to stay. You'll be back in Bathurst for dinner so book a nice restaurant too.

HILL END Lodge:

Hill End Lodge is about a 30 Minute drive from Sofala and as we start at 10am is a great base for the trip. Heaps to see if you do a one day Gold experience and are looking for something on Day 2. 
The Hill end Museum Is a must see, Just out of town on the way to sofala.
